JUMPING JACK PRESS INTRODUCES EVERYDAY POP-UP BOOK

Splish Splash, Dog Bash! Hits Retail This Month

 

 

LOS ANGELES – Jumping Jack Press, the pop-up book imprint from Up With Paper, unveiled its first everyday book, Splish Splash, Dog Bash!, at the Book Expo today.

The book is now available at retail, and has a suggested retail price of $16.99.  The 6.25” square book features eight incredible pop-up spreads, including fun and fanciful designs, highlighted with glitter and spot-UV.

Splish Splash, Dog Bash! is the imprint’s fourth release, following Halloween at the Zoo and Christmas at the Zoo, which arrived at retail in September, 2007 and recently received Moonbeam Awards as the Best Pop-Up Book and Second Runner-Up Best Holiday Book for 2007, and Kirby the Easter Dog, which released in FebruaryThe book reteams the creative talents from the first two books—illustrator Jason O’Malley and engineer Bruce Foster—bringing to life a story concepted and written by Jumping Jack Press President, George White and his wife, Anne White.

Splish Splash, Dog Bash! follows the exploits of a pack of neighborhood dogs, who throw a pool party on the first day children go back to school.  As the children look on forlornly from an amazing 3-D school bus, the dogs send out invitations, purchase pool party gear at the local dog mall, and finally launch their party.  The designs and pop-ups provide humor and unexpected surprises that will delight pop-up book fans of all ages.
