Social Networking and Activism in a Children’s Fantasy Story. Living Folklore Announces the Launch of Giggle Bubble Dreams, a Cross Platform Book Property and Video-Sharing Website.

Los Angeles, CA, Book Expo America, May 30, 2008-Giggle Bubble Dreams is a fantasy story illustrated by Emmy-Awarded illustrator Bret Blevins, that gives the reader an adventure of discovery in the non-fictional world. Berkana Thorson and kids everywhere are on a journey to find the important connections in the web of life that have been forgotten by so many humans. Social networking meets activism meets children’s fantasy story.

Incorporating elements of graphic novel and comic book with luscious, full-color illustrations in a 32-page picture-book format, Giggle Bubble Dreams takes visual storytelling to a new realm in print-media. The first book in a series, Giggle Bubble Dreams presents the multi-dimensional world of Living Folklore in a rich, layered tapestry of metaphor that speaks in a timeless way to the reader.

The journey from The Forgotten Chapter to The Age of Living Folklore is a real-life educational adventure that is partnered with an innovative web 2.0 interface called www.culturecollective.org.

Culture Collective was founded by Jacob Devaney of Living Folklore, Inc. www.livingfolklore.com, a nationally recognized arts and education organization. Culture Collective has a channel called Giggle Bubble TV where you can learn about the artists who are collaborating on this project, and take a deeper look at the multi-layered world of Living Folklore's Giggle Bubble Dreams. The videos are sort of like DVD extra's for the book that are presented for free through an online interface. The rest of the categories and videos on Culture Collective make a great jumping off point for school projects, educational programs, entertainment, and deeper research into a new and emerging paradigm for our global community.

10 Mothers, a story of gun violence and forgiveness by Chase Bowman along with a talk by Tibetan Monk, Palden Gyatso address the common suffering and simultaneous strength and capacity for healing within the human spirit. Videos also include wisdom from Dr. Emoto of “What The Bleep” fame, a feature on the importance of water, and clips from Steve Copeland’s new film, “Shift of The Ages”.

Giggle Bubble Dreams is a cross-platform book property for the growing community of people who are determined to make a better world for future generations, for people who are not afraid to look at our current global problems with an open heart and become part of the solution.
