Circularly-polarized Patch Antenna improves RFID pick-up
Mobile Mark now offers RFID patch antennas with left- or right-hand circular polarization.
Mobile Mark now offers RFID patch antennas with left- or right-hand circular polarization. These new Circularly Polarized (CP) antennas complement the existing line of linearly polarized RFID antennas.
With Circular Polarization, signal transfer is not dependent on the physical orientation of the reader antenna and RFID tag. This makes it easier for the reader antenna to pick up the signal from the RFID tag and results in a greater percentage of signal capture.
The “BP6 Series” Antennas offer 5.5 dBi gain, which provides strong system performance without risk of over-reaching the area of coverage. This is important for applications where the reader is assigned a specific zone and should not be picking up signals from neighboring zones. An example would be an RFID system designed to register information on products being unloaded at the assigned dock area and not at a neighboring dock area.
This compact antenna measures only 5.75 inches (146mm) square. Mounting hardware is included for a swivel wall mount and stainless steel clamp for pole mount. The antenna terminates with 6 inches (152mm) of RG-58 cable.
Mobile Mark, Inc. designs and manufactures a wide range of antennas for applications ranging from 800 MHz to 10 GHz. Products include mobile, portable and fixed site antennas. Factories are located near Chicago, IL and Birmingham, England.
