Jetcooker™ will optimize Starch Conversion

The K500 series Hydroheater can be combined with a K5 Autopilot™ to upgrade the performance of the Jetcooker™.

One of the key stages of ethanol production is the enzymatic liquefaction of starch present in grain.  Mash from a dry grind or wet mill process is blended with water and enzymes and then pumped through a Hydroheater® direct steam injection Jetcooker™ where steam is applied to rapidly hydrolyze the starch.

The effectiveness of starch cookout and conversion has a direct relationship on total ethanol production and yield.  Utilization of a Jetcooker minimizes the dosage of costly enzymes and effectively hydrolyzes the starch so that ethanol production is maximized.

The K500 series Hydroheater can be combined with a K5 Autopilot™ to upgrade the performance of the Jetcooker™ so that product flow path and shear are automatically maintained at optimum conditions.  This is done by controlling pressure drop to a given set point, compensating for variation in the process (material changes, flow rate and temperature).
