Dual polarity antennas can be very useful for specialized applications where traditional patch antennas could be prohibitive. These antennas can be useful for fork-lift and smart shelving applications, conveyor applications and other near to mid-field uses. They are particularly useful where the corresponding tags are in a fixed position with little variation. As such, the antenna can be placed to maximize read rates.
The dual polarized configuration offers the smallest possible size for an RFID reader antenna. This compact design fits into locations where conventional reader antennas will not.
The Mobile Mark Dual Polarity RFID Antenna measures 4 ½ inches (114mm) in diameter by 1 inch (25mm) deep. It can be mounted with double sided tape, for a quick and secure mount, or with a versatile swivel wall mount that allows for +/- 45° adjustment.
